All the law professionals we work with are interviewed and vetted by us, and they must meet our Minimum Standards - before being registered, and before any work is sold, referred, bought or exchanged.
We also vet and qualify each matter/case being sold, referred or exchanged – to ensure it is genuine, and of interest to our panel of buyers.
The law professionals we introduce are free to agree the details of the sale or referral, whether this involves a referral fee, fee sharing, reciprocal referrals, or other criteria. Alternatively, if you wish, we can assist in discussing and agreeing these details.
We keep things simple, personal and bespoke. You'll be dealing with us over the telephone and/or by e-mail.

The Founder and Managing Director of ProFirma is Tom Worner. Tom is a qualified solicitor (now non-practising), and he has worked in private practice and in-house, as well as set up his own firm.

1.Lawyer to Lawyer was contacted by a 10-partner law firm. The firm specialises in personal injury work, but receives regular enquiries for residential conveyancing and wills. The firm wished to support its clients by referring them to a known and trusted law professional. Lawyer to Lawyer introduced a law firm that undertakes both residential conveyancing and private client work, and the two firms discussed and agreed an arrangement based on reciprocal referrals. |
2.A corporate law firm, based in London, contacted Lawyer to Lawyer after being asked by a prospective company client to handle the sale of shares in one of its subsidiary companies. The firm identified a conflict of interest. Lawyer to Lawyer introduced a local corporate law firm which was happy to take on the matter, and pay a referral fee for the same. |
3.A sole practitioner, who undertakes residential conveyancing and family work, contacted Lawyer to Lawyer because she was overstretched, and sought another sole practitioner (in the same practice areas, and ideally based locally) to whom she could refer a particular matter. The law firm 'fronted' and project managed the entire matter. |
